Rory was born and raised in London and maintains a good deal of her British school girl ways. She has kept both her accent and her taste for tea as well as a fondness for British culture. She is a fan of both James Bond and Torchwood. Rory is spunky, playful, bold and quite tomboyish. She sees herself as an unconventional princess. While her abilities and past would easily aid her in a dancing career, she has instead decided to turn them towards studying Tae Kwon Do. Ever though she's as warm and loving as any other Reed, Rory is also a tough girl. She will frequently open her mouth and instead of putting in a worn slipper as princesses should, she will usually get herself into some trouble or mischief. Sometimes it's on purpose, sometimes not, but it's often anticful. She had a wry, self-deprecating sense of humor and is much more likely to hang out with the guys than the girls. top Appearance On first sight, Rory often looks cute, it's in her very youthful face which often gets her a "kid sister" treatment from people. She has long dark hair, cut with bangs and often wears it in two braids when she's at the do-jong because it's more practical that way (helmet hair sucks). Her eyes are hazel and at times are bright and youthful. At others, they're a little mysterious. She has a very bright smile bug can often pull off a sort of wry, exasperating look that makes people want to hug her. Rory often dresses very tomboyish, preferring jeans (especially with blown out knees) and sneakers or chucks to skirts. A little bit of polish often brings out the lovely princess within. Rory stands at 5' 4” and 120lbs. Rory was born and raised in London, England the daughter of Derek Reed, a successful businessman who had been born in the States and Joanne Clifford-Reed. As a child, she was her mother's princess and enrolled in dance classes (mostly ballet) since she was four. She loved the story of the Twelve Dancing Princesses and at one point she came to understand she was one of these princesses, the tenth to be exact. top Parents' Divorce When Rory's mother unexpectedly left the family when she was ten, it put her into a shocked tailspin. Her father never knew that Rory heard a phone call from her mother shortly after she left in which her mother confessed that she had never wanted Rory and her father agreed to the divorce if Joanne would sign over fully custody of Rory to him. Joanne agreed without a pause and had never contacted Rory since. In an act of blatant rebellion to such a betrayal, Rory decided she would no longer be a little princess like her mother had called her. Her father understood, even when the garbage disposal had to be replaced after her attempt to use it to destroy her toe shoes. Rory took up Tae Kwon Do and it's been something she's loved ever since and currently holds a 2nd degree black belt. Rory and her father became close and she learned to become quite self-reliant. She was often treated as being older than she actually is and she hates being talked down to as a result. She's also developed issues with female authority figures after her mother's abandoment. While a smart student, she's often considered teaching Tae Kwon Do after she finishes school, something her father encouraged. top Father's Accident Unfortunately, a second tragedy hit Rory's family. Several days after Christmas, her father was in a car accident caused by a drunk uni student and pronounced dead at the scene. With her mother the gods only know where, Rory's guardianship was turned over to her Uncle Richard Reed, Derek's older brother which meant that she would be moving to Chicago and enrolling in a local private school, according to her father's instructions. Rory has never met her Chicago family due to a falling out her father had with his parents. Derek and Richard had always been close though so sending Rory to live with him and his family made the most sense. Leaving London was difficult for Rory, especially when it came to leaving her friends Neil Cooper and Jonas St. John behind.top What's the Story Introduction Rory was first introduced into the game when she arrived in Chicago after the death of her father to live with her Aunt Lacey and Uncle Richard. Derek Reed had passed away just two days after Christmas and his older brother Richard became Rory's legal guardian. Until this time Rory had repressed her story back but upon seeing her cousin Chance Reed at the airport, it all came back to her. After meeting several of her other cousins, she found that not only was she not alone in this Story business but that she had reconnected with her siblings of the past. top Adaption to Chicago London, England, the city Rory stills feels is home. Rory's adaption to Chicago has been tricky at times. When she first arrived, she still longed to return to England, a secret she's kept close to her chest as she thinks it'll just hurt her cousins who were so glad to have a sister back. She enrolled in a Taek Won Do school and even got a small job working at Worn Slippers, her cousin's studio. Rory's arrival to Lakeside Preparatory Academy was eventful. She quickly made friends with Nick Karras, leader of the Misfits, a group of LPA stories that ignore the more elitist nature of expensive prep schools. Before the first day was out, she had ended up putting Preston Valmont (considered one of the Elites) in a joint lock and was tagged with the nickname of “Bond Girl.” Before the week was out she had also managed to accidentally put a soccer ball through the Headmaster's car window. It was in her second week that Rory met Owen Dryden, another transfer student with a tragic past. Owen and Rory would become fast friends, brought closer together by the shared bond of tragedy. Unfortunately, his criminal past earned Owen the distrust of Rory's protective cousin Chance and Rory has been insisting that she's not a “bad boy magnet” ever since. Nick's awareness of their closeness has started a bit of a Misfit campaign to get the two of them together, even putting them together on the dance floor at the LPA Masquerade Ball. It is Owen that Rory finds herself confiding in the most and after a particular breaking point, his words convince her to see a therapist. top Storylines (Based on Garbage songs) #1 Crush:The OTP. Rory is under the belief that "guys my age don't like girls who are into martial arts unless they're played by Angelina Jolie. This is the One Guy who is the exception to this rule. The guy who finds her quirks and antics amusing and prefers his girls on the stronger side. Wicked Ways: He doesn't have a playboy reputation at LPA and Rory trustys him at first, even though his intentions aren't honorable. Luckily her friends keep anything from really happening before she sees his real intentions. Temptation Waits: Rory has an impish nature that can often get talked into teaming up for some mischief making. These are the people she's teamed up with.
